Srn Training

A Memory of Chelmsford.

I trained and qualified as an SRN in 1963 at Chelmsford and Essex Hospital. It was 3 years of hard work and fun. I wonder what has happened to the building.

Chelmsford and Essex hospital remains standing.Its appearance is very much the same. However it is not a hospital now but various clinics take place here. So i i would assume it is still in the control of the NHS.
St Johns hospital, wood street has recently been pulled down and new houses erected on this site. The older buildings which i believe were the nurses home and maternity wing have been
changed internally into modern day living accomodation
