1950s Cleveleys

A Memory of Cleveleys.

I was born in a house in Daisy Bank in 1945,Cartmell was my maiden name and I attended Beach Rd school, does anyone remember the name or school or any special memories of the late 50s.Mine was seeing rock around the clock at the flea pit as we called it.Mr gribble was the manager and he kept us under control with his hook hand.

I also went to Beach Rd primary school, then Arnold boys in south shore Blackpooi, an hours tram ride in the morning and evening. Remember the Arena, performed there in talent shows, then went to RADA in1969 since a professional actor, resident in south Africa, Thanks for the memory, Ron
Hi Ron,Have you been on the Thornton Cleveleys Past website, plenty of memorys there,I remember the arena very well with Charlie Parsons,I am in touch now with Julie his daughter thanks to that website so I'm sure you will find lots of your old pals from the past that went to Beach Rd.
I remember the flea pit well, and Mr. Gribble, and yes Rock around the clock. Lived right behind it on Rossall and went to Beach Road Primary? Nick
