A Memory of Collieston.

For six years, when my children were small, we rented various cottages in Collieston. Two of my children took their first steps there on the sands to reach the sea when the tide was in. We walked every good day to Hackley Bay and often took our picnic with us. I carried the youngest on my back, We got speldings from the shore and toasted them on an open fire, many of our friends came out from Aberdeen to share our feast. I now have a picture of Collieston as my screen saver to remind me of such happy days. My name then was Margaret Mearns.
