More about this scene

Looking beyond the Squirrels Inn sign, the pedimented Congregational Chapel on the right was demolished in the 1960s and replaced by a modern up-to-the-minute chapel with an attached hall by A W Walker. The baker's with its characteristic 'Hovis' sign is still a baker's, and Duston retains other shops, unlike many Northamptonshire villages.
