Hall Family Fenham

A Memory of Fenham.

James Jim and Henrietta Hall, lived in Fenham and at one time had a greengrocers there, they had large family James, Geoffry, Barbara, June and Margery and Janet to name a few, any memories of the family or area would be appreciated, we know Nana owned a monkey at one point presumably off one of the ships in Newcastle?

Comments & Feedback

Hello, I have just spotted your memory and although I can't contribute any information about the family you refer to, I thought I would drop you a few lines all the same and hope they don't come as a disappointment due to lack of information.

You don't mention where in Fenham you are and I don't know the place well. I lived there as a school girl in the mid-50's. I lived in Fenham Barracks and went to the Sacred Heart Convent for a couple of years, until my father's time in the Army finished. We then moved to the Byker area, Gibson Street to be exact and left when I got married. Now I only see Newcastle for a few days a year if I am lucky. It is a wonderful city! I have written my memory of Fenham: 'Beginning in Fenham Barracks - I would love to hear from anyone from Newcastle, whether they might know me or not.

Hope your search brings you some satisfaction.
Best regards
Trish Bailey (nee Patricia Boyle)
