MAIN ROAD c1965 A monastery stood at Hanbury in Anglo- Saxon times, when the land came into the possession of the Church at Worcester. There is now no trace of the original religious buildings. Hanbury's present church has many imposing monuments to the Vernon family, who lived nearby at Hanbury Hall.
