More about this scene

A favourite pub for many years, the Pleasure Boat Inn these days is the starting point for a water trail which visits the reed beds which make this part of the Norfolk Broads an important wildlife habitat. Three years after this photograph was taken, Hickling Broad became a National Nature Reserve.

Sparked a Memory for you?

If this has sparked a memory, why not share it here?

My great-great-grandfather George Beales owned the Pleasure Boat Inn. He ran a wherry boat from there in about 1890. I am looking for more information about this and for pictures of the Beales family - in anyone can help, please get in touch. Mike Beales mabeales@aol.com
