Alan Benfell, born 43. Moulton Avenue near Wellington School/Sutton Lane. Went to Wellington until about 52 then moved to Marshall Close off Wellington Road South. Went to Grove road for a couple of years then on to SGGS (Black & White). Spent most of my early days over "the pits" near Lampton Park or on Hounslow Heath. On Sundays, my mum used to bring my brother and I here to sit around the pond and feed the ducks...we loved that. Nowadays I don't even think people are allowed to feed them...infact I'm not sure there are any ducks there anymore sadly, but it was a lovely memory of times when we could.
