Carlton House
A Memory of Little Sutton.
Jacqie. Carlton house stood at the junction of ledsham road & the a41 chester road.It was purchased by Cartwright Bros. a local builders & partly demolished. The stables & the music room/billiard room still exist behind an arcade of shops (I think a firm that sells lawnmowers occupies this) This room was used during the war by the wvs & was known as the sewing room. The brick from the house was reclaimed and used to build Carlton terrace in Dudleston road. The house was occupied in late victorian times by a surgeon named Madison. I hope this helps you.
