Pollotti Hall And Siddington Hall

A Memory of Pallotti Hall.

I spent a period of time at Siddington Hall when I was 4, with my four siblings. We were fostered and from there adopted in to a fantastic home. I have a few memories of my time there including the cots and the nursery, and oddly enough, the dining hall. I was sat around the dining hall table at meal time, when dinner was presented. On the plate were peas and broadbeans. I remember my stomach churning at the thought of eating them. I was made to sit there until they were eaten. Till this day I still find it funny, more so that I never ate either of those again - regardless of the numerous times my adoptive parents tried. I have 2 daughters and 4 grandchildren now of which are also highly offended at the presence of peas and broadbeans on their dinner plate :-) Both my parents are still alive and well and we are very close. Unfortunately birth father died around 8 yrs ago, and it's ten years since my sister Gaynor passed to serious a serious hereditary condition at the young age of just 42 , it has also left us all in somewhat bad health.
That said, all my memories and my good times wouldn't have been possible without the help of the Sisters of Polotti Hall. My most grateful thanks to you all for mapping me a beautiful and loving life and family. GOD BLESS YOU ALL XX
