Ripon Girls High School

A Memory of Ripon.

I wonder how many people are still around who went to Ripon girls high school in the 1950s. I was sad to see its decline and wonder who now owns the former school. I remember Marlene Blackburn,Jean Abbott,Christine hardcastle,veronica Coates,Janet Nicholson,Janet Thompson,Pamela Julian and many others in that year,Jean millican,Ann duffey,Christine woodhead,Linda walker. What is planned for the building? jeangarbutt1@gmail.com. Does anyone have photos of the high school from that era please? And does anyone have info and photos to share of holy trinity school ripon from 1948 to 1954? Headmistress was miss gloyne and other teachers were miss hammond., miss Abbott,miss goss,Mrs stocks, miss etc. I recently read some of the history of Ripon girls high school by miss Jean Denton who was my history teacher but she doesn't mention miss Joan cullingworth who took over from miss Johnson as headmistress. I would like to see more photos from the fifties.
