This picture is taken from opposite The Odeon Cinema on Washway Road, School Road is on the right and in the 50s it was a lovely shopping area. At School Road the road becomes Cross Street and on the left was a clothes shop called Chapmans. An excellent shop! My mum kitted me out here most every year.
