Happy Days

A Memory of Salford.

Does anyone remember my family ,the Walsh 's of 76 Fitzwarren Street, Salford 6.
My name is Katherine Walsh I have a sister Sylvia and a brother Gordon .My parents were Fred and Joyce .The house we lived in was next but one to the Royal Picture house and our Grandfather had the boot and shoe repair shop on Langworthy road ,his name was Henry Millington. All 3 children went to Langworthy road school ,Gordon went on to Salford Technical college ,on the Crescent.
I was born in 1942 and stay in Salford until 1953 then we moved to 251 Worsley Road Swinton ,just near to the East Lancs Road .
Hope some one does remember us,it would be so nice .
Regard to all Salford folk .
Kathy

Sorry Kathy, I don't remember any of your family which is awful, as my family, the Warburtons lived across the road at 105. Mam and Dad were May and Tom, then there were brothers Fred and Syd, followed by sister Mavis then myself Beryl. The only cobbler I knew was Woddy who had a corner shop in Clarendon St The school I went to was West Liverpool St, though Syd went to the Tech It would be nice to reminisce.
