The Upton And Robins Families

A Memory of South Petherton.

My 3rd great grandfather, Francis Theophilus Robins, lived in South Petherton and was a lawyer in Yeovil. He married, I think an Elizabeth Upton. They had at least two children, my 2nd great grandfather George and a daughter Frances who married a Burridge. George was born in 1816 in S. Petherton and also became a lawyer and lived in Herts. The names of his parents were combined to become Upton Robins.
I would be grateful to hear from anyone who has information about the family.

My 3 great grandfather Humphrey Tutchen (South Petherton) married a Phylis Burrige in1783. I am looking for Tutchen ancestors still living in Somerset or elsewhere in England. A Tutchen reunion is being planned for 2020 NZ. I visited South Petherton June 2019. What a fabulous Village. Peter (son of Humphrey) and Sarah nee Bainger left for NZ in 1841 along with their 8 children. Have discovered that an Aaron Tutchen was still in South Petherton in 1840. Would love an further info but I do believe some of the family went to live in Yeovil and perhaps Taunton
