Entertainment: Broadway Cinema; Fond memories of Welsh lady Mrs Hardisty singong along to Doris Day songs. She was banned for a time but we got her readmitted.

Best Friends: Barbara Anderson - went on to Ellesmere Park Secondary School

2nd School: Winton Secondary Modern Girl's School
Favourite Subjects: English Language/Literature/French
Favourite Athletic: Listening to Radio, Visiting Old Trafford [Man Utd], Netball, Athletics
Favourite Football Team: Manchester United
Grandparents: Mr & Mrs Samuel Brown
Cousins: Derek, Kenneth, Norma Preston, John, Isuf Bey
Eccles was a very homely place, pretty new to immigrants. My grandfather was a Merchant Seaman from Sierra Leonne. My dad, Joel Thompson (R.A.F.) was born in Jamaica.
My Mother, nee Emily Brown, attended ECCLERS PARISH ALL AGE SCHOOL
I have 5 brothers and 4 sisters, I am the mother of 4 daughters, I have 3 granddaughters and 3 grandsons.
We moved to Brookhouse Estate Peel Green and my friend Jean Melville nee Carty still lives there.
