Sun Trap School

A Memory of Hayling Island.

I was at sun trap at the age of about 7 or 8 years old .I was.
born in 1943 and was sent there after having a very serious.
Illness.some happy memories but mostly remembering how hard it was for a small little girl .How hard it was going back to my school at my home town missing all the schooling and never being able to catch up with the other children .Remembering walking along the beach what ever the weather .Having to line up in the bath house room in vest and pants waiting to get a bath and having really hard boiled eggs for breakfast.Feeling very lonely and sometimes afraid .I suppose at the time it was thought to improve your health and maybe it did but very hard on such a small child .I am clad that the practice is no longer . Would like to know if there is anybody that was there at that time . Regards Julie Anker then I was Julie Farmer
