Happy Childhood In Kilburn.

A Memory of Kilburn.

I was brought up in Kelson Street off Netherwood in Kilburn. I used to spend a lot of time In Grange Park. Went to Kingsgate Road Infants and Primary schools and used to visit Parminters sweet shop in Palmeston Road, was always in there !. My Gran lived at 52 Maygrove Road and we would go to the Grange Cinema, The State on a Friday night and the Essoldo. I loved the fish and chip shop next to The State, my dad would take me there. I went to Hampstead Comp. School. Had a friend called Eileen Power who had a huge dog called Rex !. Happy days. My mum still lives in Kilburn and I visit quite a lot. My dad was well known in the local pubs, especially the North London Tavern.
