lived here now 47 years since last February of 2014 newsagent across green selling gobstoppers they were mighty big but enjoyable. the present shop turned into estate agents . the green is always kept tidy
where I live now since 1968 there used to be farm there was cattle over the hatches . signal box just near the railway at the hatches. 4 sweet shops. Ansell newsagent -Mons-shop -spar shop- spare parts shop used to be sweetshop.next to small car park we use to have night club with large sofas. new years eve Dr Bartlett with his bagpipes out on the green. there stood on frimley green road was a sweet shop. two lovely ladies used to serve behind counter.use to love going there after school . the shop however stood there for sometime above the shop the name just barely see The Mons sending library? over the past cracks are now appearing down the walls not sure if its empty. sometimes there has been advertising events. now sadly today on Monday 11th august 2014 .the old shop which stood some time now being demolished.
Does anyone remember the "I hate the dogs" man? He was the opposite of Camberley Kate. He loathed canines of all sorts, and shouted "I hate the dogs" in the street. If he met a dog, he would get down on his hands and feet and bark back at it. He was, you could say, barking, a sort of village idiot. Children told stories about him, that his wife was killed by dogs, but I suspect he was unmarried, and mad. Still, he made more of an impression that the other villagers.

I was born on 24 July 1944 in Frimley Green and emigrated to Canada with my mother in 1945. I recall her telling me that Frimley was bombed during the week while she and I were in the hospital and that she had to cover me with pillows as the plaster was falling on us from the ceiling. During my training at the ACC depot in Aldershot I met a beautiful young lady called Debbie Baker. She was my first love. Unfortunally when I was posted to Germany, I never saw or heard from her again. I would love to re-new our friendship even after all these years. David Kelsall
I had loads of fun when I was there and I did not want to leave. I had two friends, Derek Knight & Foxy, you were not allowed on the range but we did and came back loaded with mortar bombs and stuff which we bartered with other kids, If you kept your dorm clean and tidy you went to the pictures as a treat.
My name is Eric Morris and I have received the sad news that John Vanstock passed away in November 2011. May God bless him and his family in their sad loss. Rest in peace, never forgotten, a true Burrow Hill lad. He was there from 1952 until 1954. His true dear friend, Eric Morris.
I can only just remember this scene, as I was in the army awaiting a compassionate discharge. I was at Deepcut in Blackdown when I met this lovely girl called Shelia. She was very fond of horses and as I remember she was into show jumping. I was given a job at the stables.
