A Memory of Wickham.
I loved Rookesbury. On our third night my new best friend and I got the hot rubber slipper kept in the only hot radiator for looking out of the windows by Mrs Burrows.
Educationally I learnt very little but spent four years learning how to have fun, run around stunning grounds, cause mischief .
I did adore Miss Mcvicar who by the way became first woman deaconess.
I had lovely friends , great memories of crispy rolls for breakfast and going to see stonehenge and touching the stones ... Spent the day a little terrified as I'd forgotten to put on my out door shoes ...
Food was horrid and building bloody cold but the school was so so so much more than that.
Truly best school days ...
