Mary was my mother and she passed away a few years ago now. My aunt, Edna, is suffering from dementia and lives in a nursing home in Whitley Bay. I could go on for a long time with my recollections of things my mum told me about my granddad, Peter, and Waterside Farm. Do we have a Mary and Edna in common?

Curiouser and curiouser! It seems we have the right connection but I can't figure out the connection to Peter as 1930 was between my mum's and my aunt's birth years; unless Peter was being a bit of a naughty boy. I have taken up your suggestion and ordered a DNA kit from Ancestry, I'll let you know the outcome.

It seems we may be sort of cousins!!!
