I supported Aveley FC from about 1946 to 1957. Thurrock Combination. London League Div 2. London League Div 1. Cot Cup. LATHOL Stanford Charity Cup. Three times winners of the Essex Junior Cup. My most favourite footballer of all was Len Fogg.

Hi Peter I’m George Barford’s son, my Dad played in the Essex Junior Cup winning team as right back. Sadly he died in 1992 but I have his medal and a team photo framed and hanging on my wall. I worked with Ken Riley and Len Foggs sons who still live in the village. Dad had fond memories of AFC and was proud of what he did . John Barford
