I went to St Andrews primary in the 50 it was then on Green Lane, my mum (Gwen) worked at Beestons first on the corner of Heath Road then over the road opposite the funeral directors Kirks. Howard's Riding Stables on Cross Lane was my second home my first being Langdale road.
Mum was born in Stanley Cottage in Beington Village her mother was a dress maker she moved their with her mother and father in about 1860
My father was born in Kirket Lane but lived in Port sunlight as his father work for Levers in No 4 wrapping the Lux soap
I now live in North Wales and would be interested in memories that anyone has to share

Hello to anyone reading. I'm looking for some local knowledge about Higher Bebington and Heath Road. In 1881, members of my family were living at "Hill's Cottages" on Heath Road. I've had no luck at all in identifying this location -- I've tried searching for neighbours in earlier and later censuses, searching for nearby locations on old maps (Needless Inn Farm - later Needwood Farm? - doesn't seem to be close enough to help) ... to no avail. I'd very much like to know anything at all about "Hill's Cottages". If you can help, a private message (and/or info posted here) would be most welcome!
