A Memory of Beckenham.

Does anybody remember Muirhead Vatric fatory in Elmers End, near the railway station? I worked there in 1989 (ish) just for a short while, but my Dad worked there during the WW11. Did anybody else work there during the war who might remember my Dad - Frank Hyde? If so would love to hear.

My father, Frank Horstead, worked at Muirhead Instruments Limited until we moved to a branch plant in Stratford, Ontario in 1965. I do not know when he started at Muirhead, but he was fairly young when he did, and he was born in 1927. We lived at 2 Kelsey Square, then 20 Cedars Road, and finally 63 Durban Road. I cannot believe how much those houses sell for now.
