A craft heads southwards towards Blisworth Tunnel on the Grand Union Canal. The tunnel, 3057yds long, is the longest currently open to all boats; it is said that the silence inside is 'appalling' and 'deathly still'. The pretty tower of the 14th-century church is clearly visible here.
