My Dad!

A Memory of Brigg

This is my father sat in the boat fishing on the Ancholme. His name is Jack Waters, a well known Brigg butcher (Waters and Sons) at that time, in business with his father and a brother in Wrawby Street. The photo was more than likely taken on a Wednesday afternoon - half day closing and time for some peace and quiet.

A memory shared by Patricia Briggs , on Apr 8th, 2013.

Tips & Ideas

Not sure what to write? It's easy - just think of an important place in your life and ask yourself:

  • How does it feature in your personal history?
  • What are your best memories of this place?
  • How has it changed over the years?
  • How does it feel, seeing these places again?
  • Do you remember stories about the community, its history & people?
