More about this scene

Brinklow was one of 400 new towns deliberately created between 1066 and 1349, when the Black Death brought an end to the practice. Like many of them, Brinklow never really took off. It was 1790 before the construction of the Oxford Canal, with a wharf at Brinklow, brought real prosperity. Brinklow is town- sized today, but it is basically a commuter village.
