Little Boys Home South Darenth/1938/War Time

A Memory of Bromley.

remember being packed off to this boys home, well it was a self contained village really. every amenetie was taken care of church just inside the gates...school,,,,about 8/10 houses..the experience was quite exiting,what with near misses from german bombs.......sadly one house got a direct hit at night..........there were fatalities,not sshure of the count...it was quite rightly ,kept quite because of theeffect on the boys.....we were in the direct line to London..we were shot at bombed..still have flashbackes in my sleep.....found myself on the floor of our dormitory..that was about 6yrs ago ....I'm now 80.anyway it got so hairy we were dispatched to a more safer place in the area'If anybody can help me with any info.of the place.I have info of the other homes I VISITED ha!I..ifyou can help me out ,maybe we can share a few more memories...
