More about this scene

Near to the Three Peaks, Clapham's old Manor House (1701) is now used by the National Parks Centre. The original pigeon holes can still be seen in the gable ends. The oldest building in the village, Ingleborough Hall, is now an education centre. A lake containing 48 million gallons of water was created in 1832 by the Farrar family; the water flow once powered an electrical turbine for the village. Since 1935, the Cave Rescue Organisation has been based in the village.
