Cwa Factory Or County Clothes, And Charlesworths Staff

A Memory of Crewe.

My mother was Betty Brownell, nee Fleet. She started to work at the clothing factory when she was 12 and left to come to Australia in 1966. I remember going to the Christmas parties for the worker's children. My Dad, Alf Brownell, worked at Crewe railway works before WW2 and then at Kelvinators, Hoover and Charlesworths on High Town. Anyone remember them?

I have been reading your messages and noted your surname "FAWCETT". I am researching my family and have family members with your surname born in Crewe. They are David Fawcett born 1944 andhis sister Anne/Annette? Fawcett born 1947 to Nora Bertha and Frederick..I hope you can help and would be grateful if you would reply.
