A Memory of Crosby.

I went to Crosby Road School from 1959 'til 1963 and served at Crosby Fire Station from 1966 'til 1970. I remember getting my very first dog from a pet shop in either Fir Road or Sycamore in 1967 on my way home from a night shift at the Fire Station. Does anyone remember this shop and the name of it??

I remember that pet shop in Sycamore Rd very well. I saved up weeks and weeks of pocket money to buy a hamster and a small cage. I took her home and overnight she had 7 babies! much to my mother's alarm. I too went to Crosby Road School in the late 1950s, we lived in The Crescent, off Hicks Road, do you also remember the sweet shop(Hunts)and the bike shop next door by the Zebra crossing?
