A handsome brick building houses the post office and store in this tiny hamlet. Smokers had not become the social outcasts of today, as the Players sign affirms. BP petrol is also available, perhaps for the approaching Bedford Dormobile.

I married at Abbey Cwmhir and had wedding reception here 12/3/66.
I have many memories of growing up in Crossgates between the years of 1964 through to the late 1970s. We were the original Railway Children. I am interested in the previous posting ref Ernie Lewis at Builth Road station as my grandfather was Ernest Lewis and was at the Station Cottage at the crossing at Llandrindod.
