More about this scene

A mile or two to the west of Northampton, the village of Duston is steeped in history. Over 12,000 pieces of worked flints including arrow-heads, scrapers, saws, borers and hammers were discovered here, indicating the existence of a New Stone Age settlement in the area. This photograph shows the village centre with its rows of pretty cottages.
