Raynham Road School In Edmonton

A Memory of Edmonton.

I lived in Kimberly Road by the Willoughby Lane gas works from about 1952 and recall the late Queens 1953 coronation when our road was full of tables and chairs for the street party.
Raynham Road school was more like a university with teachers such as Mr Rhubens, Mr Bond, Mr Parry and Mr De-winter. Mr Evans had been our Headmaster. I remember Terry Breed, John Knott, David Cook, Lenny Head, Rita Byfield, Jimmy Burgess, Derek Seymour, Enid Rice, Helen Osborne, Carol Chamberlin, Terry Bullen, Tommy Chattles, Peter Jordan, Roy Bishop, Pat Deeth in Dysons Road and several others. I worked on the Evening Standard van after school.
