Woodages On Friston St.

A Memory of Friston.

My granddad William (Bill) Woodage lived at One Friston St Fulham SW. He married Violet Fraser and had Anne. My mom married there in 1958 and moved to the US. Mom and my sister moved back in '64 when my dad went to Vietnam. I was born in Oxford in '64 back then back to the states in '68. Came back in '72 for my granddad's funeral. I remember Mrs. Rusell that lived upstairs and the family across the street Bill, Nancy and Jenie. Going to feed the birds at Trafalgar Square and walking with nana to a sweet shop around the corner. Swimming at the park was also a wonderful memory . I remember the smells of the exhaust of the trucks and I remember pulling up in the black taxi. What a wonderful time it was. It is on my bucket list to return to where it all began for me.
