Glenboig Amateurs
A Memory of Glenboig.
I have a lot of great memories of when I grew up, Big Billy Campbell a mate for life, Willie Kerr, Alec Fulton now gone but not forgotton and ma wee cous Gerry, we all were brought up in Ramoan, a city in Glenboig, I remember all the long walks with Billy and his dad, down the T road, along the back roads towards the Gayne than back home.
After leaving Glenboig for a few years I came back and played for Glenboig Amateurs, a team of legends, Tucker, Ted Keegan, Bedgie, Gerry Shields, Kerry, Big Span, John and James Walsh, Danny Mullen, Big Neillis, wee Hetley, Tony Mc Cluskey, Big Ian,Tommy McPake, Mick and Joe Bradley, Peter Hilley and a lot more, the support we had from the locals was brill.
