More about this scene

Perched among orchards on steep wooded slopes above the Fowey river, this picturesque village is renowned for cider making. In 1863 a railway was constructed along the bank for transporting iron from the mines at Restormel. However, it was soon carrying visitors, keen to savour the joys of the waterside life.

Sparked a Memory for you?

If this has sparked a memory, why not share it here?

Many years of happy days at Bodriggan as Diana Luck's nephew, one of many! Sadly she died early this year but will never be forgotten. Great memories of Barbara and Gerry at The Fisherman's Arms, beer straight from the barrel, roaring fire and darts. Also great times had with George Luck (her husband, my uncle) on Ruda out of Fowey.
