Thank you for the photo of Netherside Hall. This was a boys school and I was there from 1952 to 1955. This has brought a lot of memories back to me - thank you.

RE: RE: Netherside Hall

I was an 80s child at the school. And yes we did hear the story of the grey lady ghost!! It was a very different way of teaching us kids back in the 80s and has stood me in good stead.  Did any of you have a sports day? I don't know if I had a set bed time, we did for the elder kids - it was ten.  And the younger ones 9.  We had shoe cleaning duties and cleaning the dorms.  Did they ever name the dorms?  I was in Longashes.  My days at the school were a mixture of good times and bad.  But the best thing I loved was the views.  Wow it was so nice to sit there in the peace and quiet and look at the views.  And at Xmas the trees were massive - reached to the balcony!!!
