More about this scene
Looking South The Co-op store on the left was previously a double-fronted residential property (today the windows are gone, and the shop has been taken into a new Co-op store which replaced the other adjacent buildings to its left). The outside gate to the shop is leaning against the wall to the left ready to be locked in place when the shop closes. The bus queue to Swindon is forming by the two lime trees outside Ashman's butchers shop, today a private house. Further down the street we can just see the sign for the Fishes public house.
