1975-1984 lived at 24 Vulcan Close remember the blue van and the football cards with the bubble gum very well! The 233 bus, swimming and Wilson's, knock down ginger, roller disco skates on the decks, moppit, the milk round with Brian, The Hadwins, George Derek, Michael and Debbie, the Copin's, Tina, Debbie, David, the Farmilos near the dairy shop, Gary Middleton, Marc Beech, Paul Bowman, Ian Mitchell, Lorna Eve, Lisa Jones, Tina Geary, Lawrence Francis, Netty (Annette), remember the fire on the fields in 1976 (the really hot summer), water fights with Fairy Liquid bottles! Raleigh Choppers chippers strikers, griffters, R/C Airplane models at the back of the fields, 1977 silver jubilee under the deck as it rained on that day, playing up at the woods near plough lane. The air raid shelter. Mr Oliver the caretaker at the junior school, riding home made go karts along the big slopes. Winning a silver medal for cross country at the play centre Tony Ash won the gold.
