Good Old Days

A Memory of Welling.

I also lived in Northdown Road from 1950-1967 . I then moved away but when my Dad died in 2006 I moved back to my old house in Northdown. The range of shops is not so good now ,but I wouldn't live anywhere else .Like a friend I also remember the Twisted Wheel, but can't remember exactly where it was,any ideas? I went to Fosters School, does anybody remember the Maypole?

Hi Yes certainly remember the maypole when the parents used to come and watch every year. I went there from 1949 to 1959 then went to Elsa Road
Remember the headmaster Mr Chambers?
Hi all, my name is Karl (Colin) Bowman and I was born in 1942 at 18 Lynmer road and went to Fosters school from1947 to 1952 and then to Elser road. I remember all the shops at Welling corner, the Embassy Danson park the Lido, saterday morning pictures at the Odean was a high light. I live in Australia now an Welling is so far away, I would love to see it once more.
if any of my old school mates read this it would be great to hear from you. hoverhall@iinet.net.au
