A Memory of Lowestoft.

My Dad was born in Lowestoft in 1921 and went to Roman Hills Boys school. His name is William Thomas Pritchard and he lives in Edinburgh, aged 94. He started on the trawlers in 1935 when he was just 14yrs old.

My great, great, grandfather, by the last name of Smith, (I am not sure of his first name) owned a fishing fleet of trawlers in Lowestoft. Does anyone have any information? One of his son's name was Robert Earnest Smith (married Carolyn Breach another trawler family) who migrated to Canada before 1900. Some of the Smith's lived in Lofstoff and mostly in Southwold around 1908. Any information would be helpful.
