Wonderful Memories

We moved Middleton Stoney in 1954 from Weston on the Green (the lay-by transport cafe and garage). We lived in Ardley Road, in the brick house next to PA Turneys and opposite the Jersey Arms. The Varneys lived next door. He was the old village blacksmith. Best Year Of My Life

We lived for a year in Middleton Cheney. My great grandfather was from England, but we never looked up relatives. I was only seven, but I remember so much of the town. We would go to market uptown everyday, our milk and bread was delivered, we had coal burning fireplace, we would go to get the paper everyday.
