Brother And Sister Attended

A Memory of New Addington.

Fairchildes was my senior school which I attended from 1969-1974. Came up from Wolsley School, lived in Dunsfold Way. One of my brother's had previously attended when it was still a segregated school, he's 10 years older than me so must have been end of the 50s. A couple of the teachers I had remembered him. I remember Mr. Rutter and Mr. Tindall. Mrs. Ford was the needlework teacher, Mr. Hanlon was the head with Mr. Scorch(?) as the deputy.

I'm pretty sure it was in Senior school, but we had different coloured exercise books for each subject...can anyone remember them? I remember dark blue for English, green for Geography and beige for Science. There was also red, light blue and yellow.

I remember a lot of teachers faces, but can't remember their names. :o(

Great reading others memories!

I am contacting as I was at Fairchildes and you say your brother was 10 years older, I wonder if he knew of a Norman Mciver or Maciver who attended I about 1957/1960 or Peter Horscroft?

Regards, Peter
