The winding hole (where boats are turned) lies to the east of and adjacent to the Great Wharf. Odiham Common is on the northern bank. The canal turns to the north-east before reaching Broad Oak Bridge.

My parents lived in 'The Coachman's Cottage', which can be seen on the brow of the hill in King's Street, 1950-60. 'Lovelace' is almost opposite.
My Great, Great grandparents, John and Jane Crocker lived here in 1915 before they both died.
My grandfather, and his family came from Odiham. They lived at Bury Cottage until at least 1908. I am connected to the Peskett, Clark, Champion, Pink, Lee and Windiate families of Odiham.

My brother Joe is buried in Odiham He was in the Royal Air Force.
