Landowne Villa, Waterford Street, Old Basford
A Memory of Old Basford.
I hope someone can help me. I am trying to identify which houses were designated Lansdowne Villas on Waterford Road in Old Basford. My relatives lived there in 1911, but the census just says Lansdowne Villas, no house number. The address didn't make sense until I googled Waterford Street and saw that one of the terraces still has the plaque for St Aidan Villas. I'm assuming that Lansdowne Villas is somewhere near the top of the road with the Lansdowne Road junction, but if anyone knows the area I'd be very interested to understand which ones were Lansdowne Villas. If anyone knows when they were built, or is local and could read the plaque, that would be great too. The plaque for St Aidan isn't clear enough to read on Google.
