An evangelical mission wagon lies idle in the quiet village street. This large parish runs along the eastern bank of the Severn for several miles. There is some quite stunning 16th- and 17th-century architecture.

My great-grandfather Thomas Henry Collins was born in 1885 to James Collins and Harriet Collins, nee Turner, he was one of eleven children and they lived in Ombersley.
James Collins was a general labourer.
