Summer Days

A Memory of Pickering.

This is where we used to go and play in the 1960 's , we used to spend hour's in the water here , sometimes there could be up to 30 of us . On a SUNDAY morning DAD and me went down here with the car , and it was driven in to the water for it's weekly WASH . There is a bridge now to drive your car over , and it is against the LAW to wash your car in the river . As we got older we moved further up river to what we called MILL DEEP'S , and this is where we learnt to SWIM . That was in the GOOD OLD DAY'S , which sadly are now gone for EVER .
