More about this scene
This wharf on the lower slopes of the Blorenge is one of the most photographed places on the Brecknock & Abergavenny Canal. Originally a warehouse, the boathouse behind the trees is now the base of a boat hire company. The steep incline of Hill's tramroad ended just beyond it, and the tramroad continued behind the white wharfinger's cottage before crossing the canal.
