Tree Cottage

This building is still known as Tree Cottage, Old Lane, but the postal address has been changed to Barnston Road which causes a lot of confusion. I have lived here since 2002 and traced the previous owners back to 1851, but apparently the cottage is much older.

Stratfield Mortimer, C1955

The entrance on the left is to Mortimer Station and the house (red brick) just right of centre is the Old Post Office. The white house just left of centre is Street House. The building to  the right (and slightly closer to the foreground) is the old water pumping station.
