My Early Life 1946 1971 Southall

A Memory of Southall.

Lived in Saxon road then moved to Tensing road on the havelock estate. Had great time riding motorbikes in batcherlors field with friends. Fishing in grand union canal also tried our home made raft. Went to george tomblinsons school then to feartherstone. Started work and done apprenticeship at Mascot engineering at at top of townsend road. Used to go fishing at Osterley park. Worked with Kieth Leeson at Mascots.

l lived in havelock road also went to the George Tomlinson junior school featherstone road boy’s school and lived next door to Keith Leeson
I also remember motorbikes top locks and grand union canal my name is mick Stubbs

Hi have you got brother name Dennis as he was my best man in 1970 when i got married in Worthing . He married i think Brenda later on
He used to have a Cresta and i had a Zodiac convertible

Yes I have a brother called Dennis and a brother called Alan also a sister Margaret. Yes he had a cresta great car .also we lived next door to the lessons directly opposite the dog track

Hi how is Dennis lost contact with him as I have done with most of people in southall only found this site by searching for old faces from Southall. How are you Mick. There is a school where greyhound stadium was isn't there

I have not seen Dennis for five years since our mother died unfortunately he used to live in lrchester Northamptonshire As far as l know he is
Still there he was landlord of the admiral nelson pub but now has moved to a flat he is divorced from Brenda now and lives on his own

Hi sorry no I was born 1946 and lived there for about 9 years then moved to havelock estate I don't recall much of that time. A friend I had there was Billy Brooks.
